One of the most popular questions about these famous sailing ships is what they were used for. Were they used to collect huge numbers of Chinese who were coming over on trading missions? Or were they used as a vast fleet to enforce the law in England and elsewhere? We know one thing for sure; that no ship with a long hull could be used for anything other than a clipper.
Of course, it is possible that they were simply used as an alternative to the conventional sloop-and-fourteen sail boats that were so common. On the other hand, it is also very possible that the purpose of the ships was more to simply act as a floating bank, a place where larger ships could easily be landed so that they could be brought alongside smaller ships carrying supplies. As a result, no one really knows the exact purpose of these ships other than to say that they were probably used to enforce trade. The problem with this theory is that no ship of this size ever carried any cargo. So the question becomes, “Why were clipper ships so fast?”
Well, some have said that they were because they had to be, since they were built with a shorter hull. Also, they were probably heavily armed and reinforced with armor-plated walls and ports to keep them safe from pirates. In addition, they were probably equipped with a great deal of spices, as they were supposedly the fastest way to get fresh provisions into ports. However, all of these theories have been ruled out by modern researchers, who have only found dead bodies on one of these great ocean trade vessels. Although it may never have been quite what the locals claimed, there is little doubt that these great ocean vessels were, in fact, among the first large ocean vessels ever built.
Did clipper ships carry slaves?
One of the questions I get asked a lot is whether or not slaves came on board these ships. In order to be able to sail on these ships, they had to be able to speak English and believe in Christianity. These slaves where considered as expendable because their lives were of no value to the owner of the ship. The masters of these ships did not care if they carried several Africans or several Chinese. They just didn’t care that one died versus ten that didn’t.
Slaves would be brought on board when trading was done with the natives of Africa. This would be the kind of slave that would be used to help bring food and other goods back and forth between the British and the natives of Africa. These slaves where considered to be okay by most of the colonists and so they were not put to any type of punishment. Most of the slaves that were brought on board would have been sold by their owners to other groups. Some of the slaves that were brought on board could have been given as a gift and thus would not count as a slave.
Now we know that these clipper ships did carry slaves but we also know that most of them were British. This proves that it wasn’t common practice among the other colonizing powers to transport African slaves. It is most likely that it was very rare for any of these groups to do this. What is the fastest ship in the world?
One of the most interesting questions ever asked by an adventurer is “what is the fastest ship in the world?” This is a very popular and interesting question because it poses two very intriguing solutions. On one hand, many people are saying that the fastest ship is the ship that leaves from the port you specify and returns to port at the same time with the maximum speed. This is called a round trip and can take several days. Then on the other hand, there are others that say that the fastest ship is the ship that getting from point A to point B with that speed in hours instead of days or weeks.
So how does this answer affect the question “what is the fastest ship in the world?” In order to find out, you will first have to establish which of these two answers is correct. If you are saying that the fastest ship is the one that travels from port to port in the shortest amount of time, then obviously that is not true. However, if you are saying that the fastest ship is the one that travels from point A to point B in the shortest amount of time, then obviously that is true.
The reason for this is simple; you want to use the round-trip method as your answer. It takes more time and travel, but it also costs less money. Also, if you do travel, you will want to take this into account when looking at the other factors that will affect the answer. For instance, the temperature of the water you are traveling in will add to how fast your ship travels, the size of the ship, how many people are on board, etc.
